We recognize that we have a critical role to play in the global electrification of vehicle fleets and stationary energy storage. Our innovative conductive additives enable our customers to make more efficient, longer life lithium-ion batteries for a more sustainable electric vehicles (EV) and battery storage future. We have invested and developed a broad portfolio of conductive additives for batteries including conductive carbons, carbon nanotubes, carbon nanostructures and blends of conductive additives to deliver optimal performance. Our fumed alumina is also used for the separator and cathode active material coatings and our aerogel can be integrated into the thermal barriers for lithium-ion batteries.

Supporting Climate Education and Research

The Cabot Corporation Foundation is contributing $375,000 to Stone Living Lab, a unique initiative in Massachusetts, USA that brings scientists, students, and the community together to explore nature-based solutions to climate change. Through this innovative partnership, we have established the Cabot Education and Community Engagement Program, enabling real-world applications of climate science and strengthening the resiliency of our local community.
