For more than 50 years, our manufacturing facility has been committed to maintaining the highest standards in safety, health and environmental (SH&E) performance while positively impacting the community in which we operate.
Our facility consists of more than 100 employees working in the manufacture of carbon blacks for elastomer reinforcement for the tire and industrial rubber product industries, as well as specialty carbon blacks for plastics, inks, coatings and a variety of other applications. Serving customers located primarily in South America, we continually strive to provide top quality products and the highest level of customer service.
Life at Cabot
56 Years of Operation
In 2018, we celebrated our 56th anniversary of operation. We are the first Cabot facility in South America to reach this milestone, reflecting the commitment and professionalism of our entire team.
Global Safety Day
We recently joined our colleagues around the world in Global Safety Day, an annual event to celebrate our safety accomplishments and discuss ways to improve our performance.
This year, employees participated in a challenge to create hand sculptures using only one of their hands. This fun activity served as a meaningful reminder of the daily importance of hand and finger safety.
Hosting Local Students
We engage with students at local high schools and universities throughout the year to discuss science and the manufacturing process and provide a tour of our facility.
In 2015, we helped modernize the local San Jose Campana Municipal Hospital by donating new blood analysis equipment. The hospital provides services to 70% of the city's population, and this equipment will reduce waiting times for both patients and hospital staff.
Top Supplier Rating
In 2016, we were named "2015 Supplier of the Year" by Bridgestone Firestone in recognition of our product stewardship efforts and our continuous commitment to providing our customers with excellent products, reliable quality and world-class service.

Volunteering at a Local Canteen
Over a period of two months we volunteered our help at the “Caricias del Alma Canteen,” which includes an organic garden that provides crops daily to children in the community.
We regularly make donations of clothing, shoes, cleaning supplies, books and electronics to schools, children's homes and other non-governmental organizations in our community.
