Our CAB-O-JET® encapsulated polymer dispersions (EPD) are used in a range of applications such as package printing and graphics, delivering stability, ease of use and image performance.
Our EPD dispersion platform has been created by combining our strengths in particle science, process development and polymer chemistry resulting in a robust family of products. Our black and colored products are manufactured at scale at our world-leading Haverhill, Massachusetts, USA facility.

Stability
The design and rigorously controlled production of our dispersions contribute significantly to the stability of inks throughout their lifetime. Intelligent polymer selection and optimization of the encapsulation process minimizes instability which greatly enhances system performance and reliability.
Ease of Use
Ink formulations are becoming increasingly diverse as the range of inkjet applications continue to grow. Our encapsulated dispersions are designed to be stable with a wide range of ink components and deliver an excellent in-use experience.
Printed Image Performance
Image durability has become increasingly relevant as inkjet penetrates production environments such as packaging and book publishing and as systems operate at ever increasing line speeds. Our encapsulated dispersions can contribute robustness and help to provide overall durability within the ink formulation.
Great attention is given to regulatory compliance, ensuring suitability for the packaging market. We produce non-hazardous aqueous pigment dispersions, some of which have been evaluated for compliance with Swiss Ordinance, German BfR IX, EU Plastics Regulation, and the EuPIA and Nestle Lists. We prioritize chemical regulatory compliance and provide Safety Data Sheets for all products. Cabot follows the principles of the American Chemistry Council's Responsible Care® Program and is a member of CPMA (Color Pigments Manufacturers Association).
