Our Ville Platte facility is committed to upholding the highest standards in safety, health and environmental (SH&E) practices, while also striving to make a positive and lasting impact in our local community.
Built in 1943, our four manufacturing units produce more than 10 different carbon black grades that are sold to customers throughout North America. Our team consists of approximately 108 employees who are active in a variety of central Louisiana community activities. We also provide charitable contributions to assist the local fire department, school sports teams, cultural institutions and health-related charities.
Volunteer Fire Department
We recently provided a grant through the Cabot Foundation for $17,000 to help the local Volunteer Fire Department in Ville Platte purchase desperately needed equipment.

This sponsorship will cover the costs of replacing two Firefighting Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus units, a firefighter’s clean-air lifeline used in performing their tasks.

Engineering and Technology Week
We recently participated in the Engineering and Technology week at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. Our teams in Ville Platte and Canal were proud to provide a $2,500 sponsorship for this important event.

Engineering & Technology Week is the College of Engineering’s premier recruiting event that celebrates the fields of engineering and technology while highlighting the college as an excellent education and research institution. Throughout the week, more than 2,500 high school students, teachers, counselors, parents, industry experts, exhibitors, and leaders as well as UL Lafayette students, faculty, staff, alumni, and administration participated in the week’s activities.
