Local outreach has been an essential element of our culture throughout our history, and we strive to make a positive and lasting difference in our communities.

Employees, through their generous spirit and willingness to lend their time and resources, are a natural extension of our community relations. We dedicate our time as supporters and volunteers at a variety of local and global organizations, such as:

  • Perkins, a progressive, multi-faceted organization committed to improving the lives of people with blindness and deafblindness all around the world
  • Boys and Girls Clubs of America, a national organization of local chapters which provide after-school programs for young people
  • Susan G. Komen® 3-Day, an annual event in which thousands of women and men walk 60 miles over the course of three days to raise money for breast cancer research
  • Fundacion Mamonal, an organization that promotes and protects industrial and social development in the Mamonal Industrial Park and the greater Cartagena area
  • Read to a Child, a nonprofit organization dedicated to increasing children's success in life by inspiring adults to read to them
  • Pan-Mass Challenge, an annual bike-a-thon that crosses Massachusetts, USA to raise money for life-saving cancer research and treatment at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute

In 2015, the Cabot Corporation Foundation, Inc. donated or pledged approximately $800,000 in direct and in-direct support of a wide range of programs aimed to contribute to community success, improve science and technology literacy and support human services programs. In addition, at the facility level, we collectively made approximately $400,000 of in kind donations and we actively contribute our time and talent to support the communities where we work and live.
